Our Story

Started as one artist with a crate of spray cans — now a group of artists painting flagship walls across South Africa and beyond.

OpenMind Murals began as a solo company — one artist obsessed with the idea that a wall could do more than hold up a roof. Over ten years that obsession turned into a group of artists: designers, muralists and spray painters who take a brief and put it on concrete at scale.

We've painted retail flagships, corporate headquarters, restaurants, schools and private homes. Whatever the surface, our job is the same — make people stop, look, and remember. Every commission is treated as a commercial asset first and art second, because the best walls do both.

We work nationally from our Johannesburg base — and internationally — bringing the same respect for the craft to a boardroom feature wall as we do to a five-storey exterior.
